Following the breakout success of Blue Beetle, Last Resort Films has been snatching up comic book and superhero pitches left and right. The studio already has another DC Comics adaptation on the way this season with The Question, but they could release (at least) three big-budget superhero films during Season 3. Jack Ryder (The Banded Ants, Share) has been developing a film based around Marvel Comics' Inhumans, while Phil Dolan has greenlit a Silver Surfer movie from Without Remorse scribe Mark Newton, and the studio is working on a Hawkman film with Blue Beetle writer APJ. Needless to say, Last Resort Films is betting big on superheroes for the next couple of seasons.
